This collection is an experiment to incorporate seemingly discordant materials – chiffons with suedes, light cotton with thick tartans, soft jersey with hard neoprene – to weave together a tale of geological transformation. One garment would transition to another much like grasslands transition into savannas then into deserts. The airy fluidity of blue and orange chiffon mimic rivers and sunrays which nourish the grassland; while the beige suede fabric evokes the arid quality of desert sands. In a way, it is a reflection of the unexpectedly diverse materials, colours and sensations that make up our natural world.
